About My Web Maestro

The entity to eventually become known as "My Web Maestro" began officially way back in 2001 as "The U.P. Web Maestro", when Nathan Lyle graduated from Northern Michigan University (in Michigan's Upper Peninsula) and began doing web design full-time. Many web designers at the time called themselves a "web master", and since music was a big part of Nathan's life, the label "web maestro" seemed a natural play on words.

Nathan had already been working with campus departments on various website projects, and had started meeting and working with local business owners as well. Over the course of the next ten years, it was a safe bet that if you were in Marquette and looking at a website for a local business, you’d see the “U.P. Web Maestro” name on the bottom of that site.

After several name changes and other business transitions (a lot can happen in a handful of years!) Nathan transitioned from a small office in Marquette, to now running My Web Maestro virtually with a primary presence Marquette, Ann Arbor, and Toledo... working with clients in many states throughout the country.

My Web Maestro currently maintains a small network of specialized contractors to ensure that for anything Nathan isn't personally taking care of himself, the right talent is available for each project. We tend to work most often with small businesses (mom-and-pop shops) but have worked on projects of many sizes. We’ve built everything from static brochure-style sites to ecommerce storefronts to time-saving web apps.

We love what we do. We’re geeks and proudly admit it. But what we really enjoy is seeing our ideas and effort put to successful use by people like you. We take pride in being able to help!
